Applicants must also submit three writing samples. The Center prefers clips from newspapers
or magazines, either student or professional publications but also will accept 2-3 page writing samples if the applicants
do not have any journalism experience. In addition,
up to 3 multimedia samples are optional, but The Center is very interested in multimedia and would consider any experience
with creating video, audio, or web-specific content (Flash elements, for instance) an asset to a student's application. If
your work is online, you can just provide links to the samples and a brief description of your involvement (if you were the
producer, editor, writer, etc.). The link to
which the samples must be sent will be given to you upon receipt of your application. Samples are due to be uploaded
by Monday, February 1, 2010 at 9AM.
