How To Apply
The
application deadline has passed.
Princeton undergraduates,
including seniors, are eligible to apply to two PICS internships.
Please note that some of the PICS organizations have multiple internships and you may
be able to apply to these multiple opportunities using only one PICS selection. If so, you will be asked to rank the
opportunities and provide a separate personal statement for each opportunity. Please note that the organizations will
see these rankings and that you only need to rank and provide a personal statement for those positions in which you are interested.
This information is clearly described within the relevant internship position descriptions.
A completed application consists of the following elements:
A personal statement for each internship, a minimum of 500 words in length. For each internship to
which you are applying, write a personal statement (a minimum of 500 words) addressing the points indicated below. Each personal
statement should be unique to the placement; generic statements are not as appealing to the sponsor organizations.
1) Why you want to spend the summer in a public service organization
2) Why you want to
work in this particular area and with this organization, identifying your understanding of the issues that this organization
addresses
3) How your academic studies, work and personal experiences have prepared you for this organization
