for Summer 2012

Princeton Internships in Civic Service provide the opportunity for Princeton students to explore careers in public service and the non-profit sector.

Through real-world experience with sponsor organizations, these bright young adults bring creativity, skills and energy to the job and produce effective, meaningful work for their organizations.

PICS assists organizations to identify and design significant projects that will challenge and fully utilize the talents of these outstanding interns.

PICS solicits from potential student interns in-depth applications for those projects which strongly interest them.

PICS conducts personal interviews with selected candidates and provides feedback to the organization.

PICS provides alumni mentors for the interns to assist them and their organizations throughout the work experience.

Application Process

Thank you for your interest in our program. Please follow the steps below to apply to the PICS program. Applications are due by 5pm on Friday, October 14, 2011.

1. Download the Internship Description form click here. This form will include descriptions of your organization, the internship position and the desired qualifications for the intern. (Please note: Princeton students will read the Internship Description form in its entirety so please be as specific and detailed as possible about the internship. Please do not include any financial information in this section. This form will be available to the students online, via our website, so please also be sure that you include only information that you are comfortable sharing on the internet.)

2. Complete the Internship Description form and save to upload later.

3. Complete the online portion of the application below. This includes basic information about your organization, including contacts and financial contributions towards the funding of the internship. Students will not have access to this information.

4. Upload the saved Internship Description form where indicated on the on-line application below.

5. Click Submit when all information on the online portion of the application below has been completed and the saved Internship Description form has been uploaded.
